Favourites Fall Hiking Spots

Take a hike along the Elora Gorge, you will get stunning views of the leaves changing colours, as you walk through the forest to arrive at the Gorge. It is a very scenic and relaxing hike! Elora is about 1.5hr drive north west of the city.

After the hike head to town for Lunch and a drink! There is a craft brewery and lots of yummy restaurants! It does get busy on weekends so try to call ahead and make reservations. We ate outside at the Evelyn Restaurant, it was so delicious and had a great view!

If you would like to relax and stay over night, the Elora Mill has a great spa and beautiful hotel.

Is located beside The Bridal Path and Leaside. The main entrance is located at Leslie and Lawrence Ave. To me this is one of the cities special gems, it is absolutely gorgeous and the trail can go on forever!

The gardens are a must, no matter what time of year this is always a good too. The trail it self is shared with bikers, people going for a stroll or a jog.

Before or after your hike be sure to stop off at the Bloom Cafe for coffee, tea or a delicious pastry! For hot days they also have pop cycles.

If you want that perfect autumn look out shot this is your spot! Not too far out of the city, It is located in the Town of Mono. Part of the Bruce Trail and Niagara Escarpment , it is about an hour and 10 min drive North West of Toronto.

Get there early because trails do get busy this time of year!

Mono Cliffs

Track and Tower Trail: It says it’s 7.5 km but if you want to go to the look out it’s almost 10km and lots of stairs going up but it was well worth the view! It maybe took us around 2.5-3hrs to complete the trail. This trail does have some difficult terrain, lush forests, beautiful running rivers, and lots of clearing where you can view the lakes. Overall, really enjoyed this hike, I didn’t feel overwhelmed or get too bored of walking!
